I released the latest version 2.0 of Archipelago Sailing Simulator. There are many great improvements in this version. You can find it for free (as usual) in the distribution web site itch.io and there can also read detail about what changed.

For the next version of Archipelago I will add the famous Bluenose II schooner (at least famous in Canada!) – because of this, I am making changes to support (control) more sails (besides jib,main and mizzen) and many other improvements; but don’t wait! Great improvements were added to version 1.74 including better waves (options: Choppy and Kelvin Wakes); improved GUI; optimized performance; improved shallow water effects; check for latest version

Coming up for version 1.74 and beyond, major improvements in water rendering! I am also adding Kelvin wakes behind selected speeding boats. Worked expanding the program help and added screen shots etc…

Small changes since 1.70: added screenshot function (F12) and added night time stars and moon (moon also cast shadows). Also a couple of small bugs were fixed. As usual you can download from https://papaysailor.itch.io/archipelago-sailor-simulator

At this point Archipelago is a “Single Player game”, but with the most recent version you will be able to Import/Export Situations that you can exchange with your friends; it includes everything (terrain, models, weather etc…); soon I’ll be working toward full Multiplayer Mode.
